Georgia O'Keefe once said "Nothing is less real than realism, Details are confusing, It is only selection - by elimination and by emphasis that we get at the real meaning of things".

My work is inspired by the feeling of attraction and an admiration for history; our surroundings are always changing - the environment we live in is fragile and ephemeral in nature. The pure beauty of geometric shapes and the vivid color of the manmade landscape appear to me universal and abstract. As the years pass the world changes and transforms and the shapes and physicality and what we see with our eyes will soon become vague memories.

Composing a painting is an effort to capture this changing story.
